Thelma and Louise

Earl and Gail RothmanOur First Himalayan cat! Equipped with little knowledge, only the desire to own a beautiful pointed Persian, we acquired our first Himalayan, a flame point female kitten, whom we called Tweeter Dan in July of 1990. She was, after all, "Tweeter Dan most people". We soon learned that Tweeter was a very sick little girl. We spent a lot of money getting her well and in the process we learned about ear mites, fleas and worms. When Tweeter became an adult, we spayed our healthy lady and placed her in a loving home.

SealyOur First show Himalayans! In 1989 we began visiting cat shows. Then we got more serious and contacted Virginia King of Prancenpaws in 1991. From Virginia we acquired Pugs and SissySimply Irresistible (Sissy), flame point female, Prancenpaws Simply Pugnacious, seal point male, and Prancenpaws Celebrity, seal point female (Sealy) (Pictured Right). Sealy loved the shows and traveling with us. We even took her with us on antique buying trips. We learned a lot from our three babies--about coat, shampoos and showing. We owe so much to them for breaking us in to the world of showing cats.

Our First Le Club Fur Kittens! Sealy and Pugs produced our first two Le Club Fur kittens--Thelma and Louise (Pictured Right). Thelma, a gorgeous blue point with big round blue eyes, let us know early she was not going to be show cat. It wasn't her thing. Thelma has been spayed and she lives in Springfield with a lovely family. Like her sister, Louise (Weazel) was never a show cat, but she didn't mind foregoing the shows to stay home and raise a family. Nonetheless, our Weazel is well-represented at shows through her children and has produced such quality babies, she is now at Distinguished Merit cat. More can be learned about Louise on her own page. We lost Sealy to age on Oct. 20, 2005, just a month shy of her 15th birthday. She is missed.
