1999-With our expanding family, we decided it was time to add a cattery, so we built on a room with windows and sky lights.

Kitties on cat tree

The girls enjoy perching on a cat tree in front of the windows. They can watch the actitivies in the kitchen from their vantage point.

DeLute and DeHeartbreaker

Our kitties also occupy every room in our home. DeWeaz' babies DeLute, blue point, and DeHeartbreaker, seal point, (DeLovely is preoccupied elsewhere) share our bedroom with us or do they share their bedroom with us?

Weazel

Our Louise (Weazel) atop the kitchen cabinet awaiting dinner. Anyone who fixes anything feeds Weazel. To Weazel's left about six feet are the double glass doors leading to the new cattery.

Allegro relaxing

2001-We decided to enclose the patio off the cattery, so the cats could go outside safely. The females get the the most use of the patio, but we also make them take turns with the boys.

The cats have a view of the back yard through the mesh netting that encloses the patio. The outside bottom of the patio is covered in the siding that matches our entire home.

Le Club Fur's Cattery
Welcome to Le Club Fur Himalayans! Our cattery really consists of our home with its seven rooms for cats, plus a two room cattery and an outside enclosed patio. We're sure you want to know where the kittens grew up, so please enjoy the tour.
DeWeaz watching kitchen Weazel's girls being cute
DeWeaz enjoys her own cat tree in the rec room. She can watch the activities in the kitchen from her vantage point and come inside if she wishes. While some prefer different levels on the cat tree, others choose the basket for afternoon naps. These girls include Louisa, Felicity, Little Bit and M-M-Millie.
Pet babies napping together A relaxing afternoon in the cattery
The pet kittens enjoy a smaller and safer cat tree for their naps, although they have additional shelves where they can go for some private time. With two spacious rooms in our cattery, which includes 1600 square feet, our babies enjoy room to sleep and play in the sun and occasionally watch the birds outside.
DeWeaz on the patio DeWeaz on the patio
Just outside the cattery is our enclosed patio, so the kitties can enjoy risk-free life outside, weather permitting. The 14' x 15' area has a "clear roof" and mesh and screen around the sides. Every morning we open the cattery door allowing those who wish to go "outside" their freedom. DeWiz is always the first one out. Often we "clear the patio" and bring out the boys for their exercise.
Leg on the shelf DeNiece and Leg
A shelf around the two outside walls allows plenty of room for the kitties to sleep, play and watch the birds. Allegro would stay out all the time. Leg watches as DeNiece attacks some new leaves that drifted in. The board around the bottom is on hinges. We can lift it and sweep or blow the leaves outside. :)
